I am Georgie, founder and owner of It’s The Thought, and I am passionate about every order that I send out, ensuring that as much love and time goes into processing and posting them as that of the person who orders it.
I want to make the recipient smile and treasure their gift.
So how do I ensure this happens?
First things first
As soon as I receive an order in from the website, Etsy or social media, I double check the items that have been ordered and ensure all the details are correct, and I have everything that I need, such as name, address, and any descriptions or information I need.
When I process the order, I write out all of the personal gift messages before piecing the gifts together. This is one of my favourite parts of the process, as it makes me smile to write and read all the messages people send to each other, whether it is a simple happy birthday or a note to cheer someone up, they are all sent with love.
Zombie Apocalypse
I have all my products in stock, each kept in specific boxes or shelves. This means I can get your parcel delivered promptly, without delay. I do frequent stock takes, ordering what I am low on. I also know the bestsellers, so always ensure I have more of them in stock.
We can put together bespoke gifts though, if someone wants something unusual, I have been known to put together a few Zombie Apocalypse gift boxes!
Bespoke Boxes
Our Thoughts Gift Boxes are especially printed for us. I feel this is an important touch as it makes the gift box you receive completely unique. They look nice too, we think!
Once I have put together all the products, I will choose the appropriate sized box for the items and arrange the items in a way I think the recipient would like to discover them.
Keeping the memory alive
When everything is in the box, I add one final personal touch and use our special Thoughts Stamp to seal the box.
The Thought Stamp was originally designed by one of my friends, a very talented lady, who sadly is no longer with us, so I am honoured to still keep her memory alive.
The idea behind adding these personal touches is that no matter how big or small the gift, it’s the thought from friends & family that really matters.
Posting the Presents
The final step is posting the presents. After printing off the labels in-house, I drop them at the local post office and send them through Royal Mail
Final Thoughts
I absolutely love piecing the gifts together, and knowing that when the special box arrives it is going to make someone’s day, week, or month that someone has been thoughtful enough to send them a gift.
It really is the thought that counts!
